What we'd like to talk about
I'd like to brainstorm ideas for how we can effectively recruit talented interns given our limited time & resources. Currently we get 1-2 applicants to choose from, but end up with low quality interns
Additional context
We're a small NGO (1 & .25 staff only), can't afford to pay a stipend, and rely on interns to help us execute much of our work. We need 3-6 interns for the fall and so far haven't had any applicants. Time is running out and we need some creative ideas for how to recruit. As the ED, I also need help in fine-tuning my interview skills, so that I can more effectively screen for people who will succeed in our environment and context of work.

We work with people domestically and internationally to help them launch and lead nonprofit organizations (or NGOs, INGOs, or charitable organizations) which address their community's struggles against poverty, oppression, racism, injustice, and marginalization so that they can be community change-makers.
