Project details

What we need
  • Review of up to 20 pages of copy for grammar, style, tone, and consistency
  • Advice on how to write effective copy going forward
Additional details

I am looking for a copy editor to do re re edit on my children's chapter book Mr. Grumbles. I was working with someone by accident they put some words in preciseness that need to be in pastiness. Also just a general look the text.

A kitten is abandoned at the side of the road at a driveway to a house. He has to deal with the weather, other animals living in the front yard, and finding food. His survival is up to him until humans of the house take him in.

What we have in place
  • I would just have email you the text in a Word file. The book is 48 pages but, format got play with a long the way so it is 55 pages.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to pay for marketing, PR, ISBN, copyright, and etc.

Getting Mr. Grumbles text would help with getting a publisher and literary agent. They like to see clean text.

Our mission

From the Heart Productions is dedicated to helping independent filmmakers with unique films that contribute to society get their films funded. They can include narrative films, documentaries, short films, and web series with compelling and powerful stories, told with passion.

What we do

It means we love films and want to help them get made. Documentaries, features, shorts, webisodes, and whatever other forms the future holds for the art form.

It means we love filmmakers. We love their artistry and their commitment. We especially appreciate those that take risks and tackle important themes and stories that others ignore.

It's a struggle for these filmmakers to get those films produced. The most difficult task for a filmmaker is to have to create while trying to raise money. Our goal is to make it easier for them to get funding so they can concentrate on their work.

That's why we founded the Roy W. Dean Grants. It supplies money, services, and goods to a filmmaker when they need to keep their project going.

It's why we became a fiscal sponsor. Donors seem to contribute more when their donations are tax deductible. Also, it gives filmmakers trying to raise money a chance at recieving grant money.

It's why we crowdfund. We are partners with Indiegogo and fiscally sponsor films on Kickstarter, Seed & Spark, and other platforms.

It's also why we created our Intentional Filmmaker Class, offer consultations, hold events, supply articles on getting your film funded, and more.

Our office is in California, but we assist filmmakers across the country and around the world.
