What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
What we have in place
- We have an existing employee handbook, but some of the policies are out of date. For example, we have a new retirement plan that has slightly different requirements than the previous plan. We have also implemented mandatory harassment prevention training to comply with the new CA law.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to provide additional leadership training within faith-based communities of color who organize to create an Orange County where all people live with dignity and thrive.
We want to make sure all of our staff have current, relevant information about our organization's policies for keeping a happy & healthy workplace as well as employee benefits like vacation and retirement. This way, we can all focus our time and energy on what we are truly passionate about: community organizing within low-income communities of color.
