Volunteer Recruitment Plan
Volunteer Recruitment Plan
Project details
What we need
- 3-5 one hour strategy sessions covering topics like potential volunteer market, timeline, strategies for outreach and recommendations for implementation (potential risks, possible management tools, etc.)
- A written summary of goals, target audiences and channels to prioritize
- A starter plan of recommendations & actionable next steps to begin executing your strategy.
Additional details
We are a small organization that went through a big transition last year that led to major operational changes. We recently created a volunteer program and it has taken off quickly. I need help organizing and managing the program, developing overall program strategy, figuring out a training program as well as recruiting new volunteers.
What we have in place
- We currently have a few processes set up, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have some strategic documents, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,776 , allowing us to provide free computers to 40 people in need.
Last summer, due to circumstances out of our control, we lost 35 workers that we had employed through a training program in partnership with the department of corrections. Without access to this labor force, it has been hard to refurbish and recycle the thousands of computers that are donated each year. Our volunteers play a critical role in allowing us to keep our doors open and we need help creating an efficient and impactful volunteer program.

Our mission
Minnesota Tech for Success creates digital equity for students by partnering with schools and educational organizations to provide technology access, engaging STEM programming, and IT workforce development in underserved communities.
What we do
Minnesota Tech for Success is a non-profit organization providing technology access and skills training to underserved individuals and helping them gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed in school and begin a successful career in technology.
To do this, we recycle and repair donated computers and repurpose them to provide technology access and skills training to people who need it most.
