Google Analytics Set Up & Training

This project will save us $6,772 , allowing us to expand our reach in the community and educate more young people from Philadelphia's disadvantaged neighborhoods and from around the world.

Project Details

What We Need
  • Setup of Google Analytics account and tracking codes for web assets (e.g. mobile apps, website, blog, social media)
  • Training on how to track performance, set up reports and analyze the data collected online
  • Set of guidelines for data collection, interpretation and analysis
Additional Details

We need a volunteer to help us strategize and implement a G Analytics program for non-profits

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have an outdated account, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a staffer that is willing to work, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help

Optimizing analytics helps us to learn more bout our audiences and constituency. This allows us to optimize solicitations of earned and contributed revenues to support our mission

Project may require a short interview with the organization.

Prep: Information Sharing and Goal Setting
  • Volunteer Manager gives overview of any current use of online statistics and shares admin details for existing Google Analytics account (if it exists)
  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager for a brainstorming/overview session, to discuss goals, current web platforms, and existing data on statistics (if any)
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager outline next steps and timeline for the project

Milestone 1: Tracking Setup
  • Professional explains basics of getting started with Google Analytics and sets up tracking codes based on the Organization’s goals
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager on setting up reports to collect desired data
  • Professional reviews implementation of tracking codes to ensure they are working and helps troubleshoot as needed

Milestone 2: Training
  • Professional creates guidelines for data interpretation and analysis, and shares any tips for continued used of Google Analytics
  • Professional reviews above guidelines and tips with Volunteer Manager
  • Professional is available for up to two weeks to address questions as Volunteer Manager starts to regularly monitor analytics

Our Mission

The Rock School for Dance Education is one of the world's premier institutions for classical ballet and dance training, dedicated to enriching the lives of all students and preparing those who are exceptionally gifted for careers as professional artists. Through its innovative arts-in-education/outreach program, RockReach, The Rock School is committed to making dance accessible to local underserved communities, regardless of socioeconomic background-providing egalitarian access to art.

What We Do

Our primary focus is providing education and performance opportunities for our world-class students, via programming at both Rock Center (Philadelphia, PA), the Merriam Theater, The Kimmel Center, The Seaport Museum, The Annenberg Center, The Mann Center, and Rock West (located west of Philadelphia in suburban West Chester, PA), and the expansion of RockReach, the most extensive dance and movement/community outreach program held in over 30 Philadelphia public and charter school locations throughout the region (serving over 28,000 kids and families).
