What we need
  • Setup of Google Analytics account and tracking codes for web assets (e.g. mobile apps, website, blog, social media)
  • Training on how to track performance, set up reports and analyze the data collected online
  • Set of guidelines for data collection, interpretation and analysis
Additional details

YSB has hired a new administrative person whose portfolio will include managing our web and social media presence. This person will need some specific training on SEO and SEM strategies.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a website and social media accounts, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have dedicated leadership team members, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,772 , allowing us to serve more clients, educate more students and faculty, and expand our reach into more diverse communities.

Maximizing our online visibility and optimizing our search engine marketing opportunities will help YSB increase its client base and its supporters, which will in turn help us provide services for more young people.

Prep: Information Sharing & Goal Setting
  • Volunteer Manager gives overview of any current use of online statistics and shares admin details for existing Google Analytics account (if it exists)
  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager for a brainstorming/overview session, to discuss goals, current web platforms, and existing data on statistics (if any)
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager outline next steps and timeline for the project

Milestone 1: Tracking Setup
  • Professional explains basics of getting started with Google Analytics and sets up tracking codes based on the Organization’s goals
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager on setting up reports to collect desired data
  • Professional reviews implementation of tracking codes to ensure they are working and helps troubleshoot as needed

Milestone 2: Training
  • Professional creates guidelines for data interpretation and analysis, and shares any tips for continued used of Google Analytics
  • Professional reviews above guidelines and tips with Volunteer Manager
  • Professional is available for up to two weeks to address questions as Volunteer Manager starts to regularly monitor analytics

Youth Service Bureau provides mental health, chemical health, diversion (second chance) and youth & family education programs for more than 7,600 young people and their families all across the East Metro area. We have offices in Stillwater, Woodbury, and Cottage Grove. We also have staff embedded in schools in districts 834 (Stillwater), 833 (South Washington County Schools) and 622 (North Saint Paul, Maplewood, Oakdale Schools).
