What We Need
  • Setup of professional social media profile(s) consistent with the Organization’s brand messaging in platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram, etc.
  • Training for the Organization’s staff on how to manage social media account(s)
Additional Details

We have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts but need help in understanding how to manage theses accounts to get maximum benefit. We recently started our Twitter account and need to understand how to better populate it with content targeting our primary audience.

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have 40-year history of accomplishments and data, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have dedicated staff for this project, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help

Once nearly 1,000 black pilots were trained to serve in WWII. Of those who served, only two dozen remain alive. We need to engage a younger population regarding the history and legacy of the "Red Tails", America's first black pilots to serve in WWII. Without an emerging population of donors, we will not be able to sustain our fund development.

Prep: Information Gathering and Goal Setting
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager connect to discuss the Organization's goals, target audience, and preferred social media channels (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager shares existing website, marketing messages for branding purposes, branding materials, logo and/or key images
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager agree on the best social media platform(s) to use
Milestone 1: Social Media Account Setup
  • Professional establishes social media accounts, completes “About Us” pages, and uploads logo and/or key images
  • Professional links the Organization’s website to the social media accounts (if applicable)
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback, which Professional incorporates
Milestone 2: Social Media Training and Handover
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager how to manage social media accounts and answers any questions

Our Mission

The mission of the Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation is to provide motivation, vocational access, and scholarships to financially and academically deserving students seeking careers in aviation, aerospace, STEM and beyond.

What We Do

Provide 40 $1,500 scholarships annually to high-performing low-income underserved students across the nation. Working with some 30+ chapters in the US and Virgin Islands, the foundation seeks the best and brightest students seeking careers in aviation, aerospace, STEM and beyond.

Social Media Set Up Project

Both Edward and Shetarrah were great to work with. We were able to get their social media plan setup, while applying to Google Ad Grants. I will be working and keeping in touch after this project. I would high recommend working with the Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation.
