What we need
Additional details

I would also like a template letter to send to companies for sponsorship opportunities. This could be a tiered sponsorship or pledge letter. I'm not sure which would be best. I would love to have a list of companies that you think would be a good fit to sponsor the ballet.

What we have in place
  • We currently have written materials, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a liason for you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to put more money into the scholarship fund for the school year.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss Organization's goals for media coverage and agree on a detailed scope of work for press kit (e.g., what documents should be included)
  • Volunteer Manager provides background information, such as mission and vision statement, historical information about the Organization, bios of senior staff, fact sheets, relevant or recent press release, and any supplementary multimedia

Milestone 1: First Draft
  • Professional compiles relevant press kit collateral
  • Professional suggests edits to existing press kit materials, as needed
  • Volunteer Manager makes adjustments to existing materials and provides additional content, as needed

Milestone 2: Final Draft
  • Professional presents final version of press kit materials in electronic format, with instructions for how to arrange printed version in a folder
  • Professional provides recommendations for how to use the press kit to meet Organization's goals for media coverage

Our mission

VRB's mission is to (a) promote, preserve and foster classical ballet in the Williamsburg and Tidewater regions of Virginia, presenting educational and performance programs of high artistic quality and enabling trained dancers to participate in such programs; (b) provide young dancers with the skills necessary to prepare them for professional careers; (c) provide dance education curriculum that includes training in dance history, music appreciation, the physiology of dance and choreography; and (d) community outreach focusing on providing dance as a fun form of fitness for people of all abilities.
