Project details

What we need
  • An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
  • A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
Additional details

The East Durham Children's Initiative has a complex model that serves families and children, birth to college/career. We have around 40 partners (public, private, non-profit) and countless volunteers. We call ourselves a hybrid collective impact model. We have a comprehensive evaluation that is conducted annually. Our dream would be a one pager that brings it all together, our reach, impact, and how we work with the community and partners to make it happen.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a brand guide (logos/brand colors), which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an annual evaluation, some stories,, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to keep resources focused on serving the community, families (their children, and other youth.

Right now, we don't have a great way to present data/impact in an easy to read, understand, and put together format. An infographic would help us better tell our story, and communicate with community members, partners, and funders.

Our mission

EDCI’s mission is to create and sustain, within the 120-block zone we serve in East Durham, a community free of social, educational, and economic obstacles that prevent students from being successful in school, graduating on time from high school, and continuing on to college or a career.

What we do

EDCI works to alleviate the impact of poverty on the 120-block community we serve in East Durham, and ensure that its children graduate from high school ready for college or a career. We secure the necessary resources, supports, and interventions the community’s children and youth need to prepare them for academic success and productive futures. To do so, we collaborate and connect our families with a comprehensive continuum of programs and services that ameliorate social, economic, and educational challenges.
