What we need
  • A 500 - 1,000 word ready-to-publish case study that details your Organization’s impact in a compelling narrative
Additional details

21CSF has had a tremendous impact changing the conditions of public school buildings and grounds in D.C. over 25 years--from deplorable to modern. However, most don't know the critical role the civic sector has played to secure these advances. We want to capture the hidden history of community organizing, advocacy, and dedication to show how powerful democratic engagement with a positive vision, good data and research, can be in making these equity improvements for children and communities.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a late fall deadline for a presentation on this in DC, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have identified key players and have lots of documentation, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to create a visual data story in the need for school facilities maintenance.

Until the lions tell their story, tales of the hunt will always glorify the hunter.

  • Volunteer Manager shares existing materials, if available, for case study (e.g., recorded interviews with beneficiaries, testimonials from stakeholders, and notable program achievement data)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss target audience for case study

  • Volunteer Manager connects Professional with up to 2 stakeholders, to interview for case study content
  • Professional transcribes interviews and shares with Volunteer Manager for posterity

  • Professional creates first draft of case study, including executive summary, outline of key challenges, how Organization supported those challenges, and description of results
