Project details

What we need
  • Cover letter of 3-4 paragraphs clearly stating why you’re applying for this grant and how you will meet the funder’s requirements
Additional details

In Minnesota, many funders accept the Minnesota Common Grant Application for operating support requests. For these, we create a template and reuse the same materials with some tailoring. I'm looking for a cover letter that can be used with these applications; so in most cases, it will be for funders who don't have specific guidelines or programs, but are generally interested in supporting the arts.

What we have in place
  • We currently have lots of older templates, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have program stats and quotes, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to spend more time on other fundraising tasks which will increase our capacity to offer transformational performances to our community.

It is key to make the best case we can on our grant proposals and cover letters, and it is very easy for us to get stuck repeating the same language over and over without really reassessing what's most important to our case for support.
