Project details

What we need
  • Detailed evaluation of a particular program, measured outcomes, and its impact on Organizational goals
  • Recommendations for areas of improvement in program delivery including allocation of resources
Additional details

Program evaluation related to: In 2017, the farmers market was re-named the Wilkinsburg Thursday Open Market (WTOM) and moved to a new, more visible location on Wilkinsburg's busy Penn Avenue closer to Braddock Avenue. Those attending the WTOM every Thursday from 3 to 6:30 are generally those with the privilege to have time to shop outside work hours, have transportation and funds, and have the time, interest, and knowledge about cooking fresh foods.

What we have in place
  • We currently have program history, staff and volunteer support, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have 2 organizations partnering on this, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,828 , allowing us to Impact program sustainability, increase access to social and nutritional products and services, increase attendance by 10%, maximize staffing impact and effectiveness as well as cost saving measures.

Increased sense of community through a shared value for healthy food.
We envision a new third space, one that isn't just about buying produce once a week, but also new social spaces where neighbors come to connect with others in the community. Reduce health gaps caused by differences in income, education, race and ethnicity, location and other factors that can affect health.
