Individual Donor Letter
Individual Donor Letter
Project details
What we need
- A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
Additional details
Each November we drop a Annual Appeal/letter requesting support from local donors. Rather than speaking to them only once a year to request money, I'd like to conduct a donor engagement campaign, beginning with a direct mailing/letter in (July) to tell donors how we've used their money and what a difference their donation has made in the lives of the vulnerable children we serve. I have a few impact stories and I'd like to include to illustrate how their recent giving has made a difference.
What we have in place
- We currently have our recent appeal letter and impact stories, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have impact stories about our work with clients/children, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,140 , allowing us to maximize the effectiveness our annual appeal in the fall and increase the level of giving for current donors.
It is important that our donors feel good about their giving to encourage ongoing and long-term support. We would like to boost donor retention to ensure that we are growing our donor base and minimize churning or allowing donors to lapse. Because of the sensitive nature of the work we do, it is challenging to secure new donors, therefore, it is critically important that we responsibly cultivate the new donors we are able to secure through ongoing communication and outreach.
