I am an Interim E.D. with Many Languages One Voice. (www.mlovdc.org). Looking for a coach familiar with grassroots organizations, and transformative social justice strategies. I am Pinay and would love to work with another woman of color.

What we have in place
  • We currently have E.D. already trained through Rockwood's leadershop program, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have current write ups and a grant proposal, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,198 , allowing us to invest in our Sanctuary Campaign program expenses and well as our Summer Institute for Student Organizing

Organization is in a period of transition. Coaching will help me guide us through.

  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss perceived areas of strength and area of improvement, leadership style, and assessment of team motivation and morale
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager decide on specific areas to focus on and goals for coaching sessions
  • Professional communicates if feedback from other members of the Organization will be necessary

Milestone 2: Coaching Sessions
  • In-depth discussions may include issues such as strategy and goal-setting, program management, personnel management, and board management
  • Various techniques may be employed by the Leadership Coach to achieve the desired results

Milestone 3: Wrap-up and Learnings
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional evaluate lessons learned and progress made
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss areas and actionable items to focus on going forward

Our mission

Our mission is to foster leadership and provide tools for greater civic participation of immigrants in DC who do not speak English as their primary language in solutions that impact their lives. We mobilize the community to prompt systemic change to meet the goal of language justice in the District. We organize intergenerationally with youth and adults.
