What we need

We are holding a 20th Anniversary Gala honoring our President and Founder in October. We do not hold annual galas, so we really want to make sure we generate as much awareness and interest in the issue of health care needs of women who are homeless or struggling as we can.
What we have in place
- We have our event site, sponsorship information sheets and multiple proposals written which describe the event and how the funds raised will be used to improve the lives of women in need. We also have information on the growing issue of women and homelessness, the programs and services we provide, and their effectiveness. Finally, we have plenty of background on our honoree -- Founder Dr. Roseanna Means.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,348 , allowing us to raise awareness of the health care needs of women experiencing homelessness, and raise funds to provide them with medical and supportive care they so desperately need.
Not only will a successful event allow us to recognize the contributions of our founder, it will fund our ongoing programs (as we are currently funded almost exclusively by donations and grants) and allow us to make sure we have the necessary infrastructure moving forward to work as a community partner with accountable care organizations in the ever-changing world of health care funding.
