Project details

What we need
  • Setup of selected accounting software (e.g. Aplos, Araize)
  • Training and guidelines on how to manage system and generate basic reports
Additional details

Our organization is looking for a volunteer to write a bookkeeping policy and procedure manual. We do not need assistance with accounting software setup. Thanks!

What we have in place
  • We do have a few examples or drafts of policy/procedure manuals but would need someone to cater to our organization. Depending on the drafts, it may be easier to start from scratch if a volunteer has a better process.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,409 , allowing us to focus on other operations, administrative and fundraising projects & events.

This will help outline and implement a streamlined process for everyday bookkeeping and create structure for future employees.

Our mission

The Midwest Innocence Project (MIP) is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the investigation, litigation, and exoneration of wrongfully convicted men and women in our five-state region, including Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. We work to free the wrongfully convicted, educate the public, and change policy to prevent future wrongful convictions.

What we do

We represent people convicted of crimes they did not commit, investigate, and litigate to regain their freedom. We also work to enact policy to prevent wrongful convictions on the front end.
