What We Need
  • Analysis of the current process and creation of a current state map
  • A document outlining potential goals of process improvement
What We Have In Place
  • We currently have a list of areas of improvement, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have willing staff to engage in information discovery, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help

As we have expanded our programs and staff significantly over the last year, this will be very important in order to build sustainability and serve more youth. We are excited to fine tuning our operations so that we can build processes that will us to bring out the best of our staff and volunteers.

Prep: Information Sharing and Goal Setting
  • Volunteer Manager provides overview of current process and any relevant documentation to Professional
  • Professional connects with the Volunteer Manager for a brainstorming/overview session on potential improvements
  • These may take place via phone calls, quick tours of the Organization, emails, etc.

Milestone 1: Analysis
  • Professional analyzes gathered information and begins a thorough process review

Milestone 2: Current State Map & Improvement Scope
  • Professional provides initial Process Assessment and recommendations for improvement, including clear goals and desired outcomes
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback

Milestone 3: Final Deliverables
  • Volunteer delivers a final scope of Process Improvement document with analysis of current process, current state map and recommendations for process redesign

Our Mission

San Francisco Achievers is a community-based non-profit organization providing college scholarships and mentoring services to African-American male high school students in the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). The mission of San Francisco Achievers is to reduce the achievement gap of African American young men in San Francisco high schools through support, mentoring, and college scholarships.

What We Do

San Francisco Achievers provides a holistic approach to serving the needs of young Black male students in San Francisco. We offer programs to support students and help them gain the skills needed to compete in today's competitive academic and social environments.
