Project details

What we need
  • A professionally designed online survey ready to use (set up with Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, Typeform, SurveyLegend, or other tool)
  • Training to equip staff to execute and manage survey
Additional details

I am trying to better engage with donors and tell the story of our work better. I would like to know if our donors understand our work, how we can better connect with them, and for event attendees, what kind of auction items would they like for next year.

What we have in place
  • We currently have examples of past communication and am working with a volunteer to update case statement and other marketing materials for the new fiscal year.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,564 , allowing us to continue to serve our residents and make needed repairs to our aging housing stock.

We recognize the need to better engage with donors to retain donors and get them to give at higher levels.

Our mission

Dignity Housing's mission is to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty that confronts low-income families and individuals in the city of Philadelphia. Dignity Housing breaks the cycle of homelessness by providing quality transitional and permanent supportive housing, promoting self-sufficiency, and creating opportunities.

What we do

Anchored by case management, Dignity offers a range of services to residents- including life skills development, employment, and education services, health and wellness supports, and housing placement services (for a successful transition to permanent housing). Additionally, Dignity provides educational activities for children and youth. Upon entering Dignity, case managers assess immediate needs for livable income, food, transportation, childcare, etc. and ensure appropriate action toward meeting these needs. They connect residents with benefits and work with them to develop short-term goals and action steps with paths to long-term self-sufficiency.

For homeless families and individuals, moving into a Dignity unit is often the first time in months that they have a safe place to sleep at night, without the stress of where they will sleep tomorrow. Dignity's 58 units of housing range from efficiency apartments to three-bedroom houses. Dignity's Property Management Department cares for the properties by performing ongoing maintenance, repairs and hiring experienced contractors when needed. Dignity staff works closely with all contractors to ensure everyone follows agency protocol and that tenants receive the highest quality service. Every unit has a kitchen with standard appliances, and our Alicia's House program (for domestic violence survivors) is fully furnished
