Storytelling
Project details
What we need
- A compelling narrative, or set of stories
- Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
- Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
- Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
What we have in place
- We currently have amazing success stories about the students we work with, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have pictures and personal accounts, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to dedicate our current funds to providing academic and non-academic resources to the children we serve across the state
We would like to tell our story more effectively to different audiences, sharing specific examples that demonstrate how Communities In Schools has impacted the lives of the students and families we serve, as well as the story of our 30 year history of serving students. We feel like this is one of the most effective ways of demonstrating the impact we have on Georgia's children.

Our mission
Communities In Schools (CIS) of Georgia is the state's leading organization in providing student support services and dropout prevention. CIS is dedicated to empowering at-risk students to stay in school and on a path to a brighter future. Working directly inside more than 244 schools and 4 community sites across the state, we connect kids to caring adults and community resources designed to help them succeed. We do whatever it takes to ensure that all kids--regardless of the challenges they may face--have what they need to realize their potential.
