Additional details
We are an advocacy org. for those affected by child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence and homelessness. We have a brave young woman who was the victim of a violent dating relationship. She had a positive experience with law enforcement. We would like a 2 page graphic newsletter document we can share with law enforcement to encourage victim empowerment. We have finished copy and photos, and need it to be visually appealing.
What we have in place
- We currently have the finished and approved copy, plus photos, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have contact with the victim, plus a video of her experience, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,308 , allowing us to help educate law enforcement so victims of violence feel supported and not overwhelmed.
We love the idea of helping law enforcement connect with victims of violence in a trauma-informed way. We are in rural Midwest, and some officers are highly trained, others are not. We will use this educational flyer to help law enforcement improve contact with victims of violence. We can also share it with organizations and groups who may have contact with victims in a personal way. We serve 2.5 rural counties, lots of people, few resources.
Project plan
Our mission
No one thinks straight in a crisis. We all need help to navigate the multiple systems involved with trauma, violence and poverty. HOPE's mission is to empower lives through hope, offering support, education and advocacy to anyone affected by child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence or homelessness.
What we do
We serve about 1700+ people a year in 2.5 rural counties in SE Minnesota. We have a domestic violence shelter, and offer advocacy and support to those who have experienced child abuse, sexual assault and homelessness. We are the only organization proving these services in our rural area.
Testimonials
Julian did excellent work for us and created a resource we can use with local law enforcement. His communication was great and he willingly made revisions as the project went through internal approval. Many thanks to Julian and the opportunity to work with him.
My work with Linda Flanders and HOPE Coalition was great. Linda was very easy to work with, her instructions were clear & concise, and she was patient with the design and revisions.
