The Empowering Parents Program reaches parents with low literacy skills through a local elementary school. Instructors select modules to meet the needs of the participants. The Motheread Module helps parents read effectively with their children and increases family communication. The Community Help Module assists learners in understanding how to access local services and become more involved in their communities. The HEAL Module teaches critical health literacy skills, with a focus on children's health issues. The EmployEd Module teaches communication skills, teamwork, professionalism, and conflict resolution for success at work. The School Engagement Module helps parents communicate with their child's school and strengthens the relationship between home and school. The Empowering Parents Program is another wraparound Literacy for Life program that helps put learners on pathways to economic success and helps build a strong community.
