Individual Donor Letter
Individual Donor Letter
Project details
What we need
- A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
Additional details
In March, APEB's outreach and prevention mobile testing unit, which operated in a 1988 Winnebago Mobile Home, was vandalized and is no longer safe to operate. We are looking to create a 'media packet' or targeted donor letter to help secure additional funds and/or donations to upgrade to a new mobile testing van. We plan to use these developed materials to attract Chevron, Mercedes, Tech Companies, etc. to support this much-needed upgrade!
What we have in place
- We currently have staff members available to work closely with a volunteer, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have detailed information about the mobile outreach team, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,440 , allowing us to support staff in conducting outreach activities and start the process of reaching out to potential supporters,
For years, street outreach, venue-based outreach, and mobile community HIV testing has been primarily driven by the use of a 1988 Winnebago mobile home. Our mobile testing program provided HIV/HCV testing, outreach, and other supportive services to some of the most vulnerable and marginalized community members in Oakland. As homelessness and unstably housed populations increase throughout the Bay, services like what our outreach provides are more important than ever.

Testimonials
Anna was amazing to work with - flexible, open to ideas, prompt, and had great insight into communicating HIV from a community-based organization setting. She took the lead while making sure she met all the requirements and produced a deliverable better than we could have hoped for!
The work APEB is doing in the community is remarkable. Happy to support.
