Our mission

The Hawaii Association of Watershed Partnerships (HAWP) is a collaborative working group comprised of the 10 individual Watershed Partnerships organized across the State of Hawaii. Collectively, the 10 partnerships work with approximately 75 public and private partners across the five largest islands of the Hawaiian archipelago. The partnerships play an important role in State-wide conservation efforts, coordinating across landowner boundaries, and bringing together many perspectives and priorities to work toward the common goal of landscape-level native forest conservation. HAWP's mission is to increase the effectiveness of this work through capacity building, communications, and expanding funding networks.

What we do

Our primary responsibility is to protect and maintain the native, upper elevation forests of our Hawaiian mountain landscapes. These priority areas are enormously beneficial to both people and nature: they are the source of our State's drinking water; they sustain critical biodiversity and irreplaceable cultural resources; and they harbor unique ecosystems found nowhere else in the world.

Testimonials

Dipali was very easy to work with. From the first interview, she understood the concept we hoped for and delivered the product quickly and well within our targeted timeframe. I would recommend Dipali for other communications projects.
