Project details
What we need
- Specific copy from one document (up to 1000 words) translated from one language to one other of the Organization's choice
- Note: If you need more than 1000 words translated or copy translated into more than one language, please post additional versions of this project
Additional details
CAHS is seeking a volunteer to partner in the Spanish translation of our Connecticut Money School 2019 curriculum activity sheets.
Acknowledging the differences in lingual dialect and context, we would prefer a native or very fluent individual willing to devote themselves wholly to the translation of all 10 module activity sheets. This ensures continuity of voice and definition throughout the curriculum pieces.
What we have in place
- The modules are broken into folders located on a Google Drive that can be accessed anywhere Google is available. Translating short participant surveys and correlating activity sheets would be much appreciated by our Spanish community.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,098 , allowing us to allowing us to reallocate those funds to bilingual marketing materials to strengthen our reach throughout the state.
The CT Money School has been in operation since 2009 providing free financial education to well over 6,000 people (YTD). Our classes are taught by trusted skilled volunteers and we have been hosted in over 70 community organizations throughout Connecticut. Topics covered include: goal setting, budgeting, saving, banking, identity theft, credit, steps to home ownership, and financial recovery. The presentation slides once translated will be converted into Participation Guides for our communities.
Project plan
Our mission
The Connecticut Association for Human Services (CAHS) changes the lives of low-income children and families across Connecticut by pioneering pathways from poverty to opportunity and from financial insecurity to capability and success. We envision a Connecticut where all children and families thrive, regardless of income, and contribute to and share in the state's growth. A Connecticut where low-income residents work with government, business, labor and faith leaders in developing policies and programs that ensure Connecticut's prosperity, as well as their own.

What we do
CAHS advances its mission to end inter-generational poverty by reaching out in the community, educating stakeholders and policy makers, convening partners, and advocating for policy change at the state and federal level.
