What we need
- Document outlining relationship of board to your organization and metrics of board success
- Document outlining scope of roles within board, including empty seats if applicable
What we have in place
- We currently have a dedicated point person on the Board, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have organizational documents, By-Laws and Mission Statement, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,882 , allowing us to provide additional programming, to focus on increasing our diversity by engaging more with our local community, and to expand our physical space.
Clarifying the role of the Board and how it functions will enable us to focus on programming and achieving our goals. It will help us to attract and keep engaged, effective and enthusiastic Board members, who are willing to commit themselves to the work required in sustaining an organization.

Our mission
The mission of Springboard Meditation Sangha is to support and encourage meditation in a community setting. We began in 2007 in response to the growing popularity of mindfulness meditation, and the resulting need for a physical location. "Sangha" means "community" in Sanskrit.
We are nondenominational and strive for inclusion based on race, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, cultural and religious background, class, age, and physical ability.
What we do
We offer meditation, yoga and other programs seven days a week, mainly free or donation-based. We also work in local libraries, religious organizations and with other groups. A new initiative is mindfulness practice in public schools.
