  • We have to start from scratch on this project, which gives us flexibility to steer it to a good place :)
How this will help
This project will save us $2,085 , allowing us to invest in on the ground campaigns for conserving the mountain environment

This will be our first board, and inviting committed members will help us spread our outreach as well as fulfill our mission. Written board guidelines will help us to a good start, establishing clear communication about expectations and roles, providing support for good governance and accountability of the board's actions.

Prep: Provide Current Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with the board’s current governance practices, policies and procedures, as well as a list of current board members
  • Volunteer Manager identifies which board members or other staff are available for interviews (if required)

Milestone 1: Research
  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager for a brainstorming/overview session
  • Professional reviews any issues arising from current policies and procedures

Milestone 2: Evaluation
  • Professional conducts surveys and interviews with key stakeholders
  • Professional reviews relevant materials regarding the board’s performance, policies, and procedures
  • Professional drafts the board’s organizational guidelines
  • Organization provides feedback to Professional’s documents

Milestone 3: Delivery of Board Guidelines
  • Professional delivers board organizational guidelines outlining recommendations for more effective operations
