The program that really started as a "mom and pop" by my Mother 15 years ago is organically expanding together with the CNN Hero exposure and recent Medal of Valor honor. It's time to professionalize and take it up a notch = need to review and refresh the mission, vision and clarity on expansion plan.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a working mission statement and vision for growth, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have the cnn video that, with your fresh pair of eyes, could help, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to buy the books and materials we need, as these are free to our students and pay the 2 staff the program has.

the mission statement is the foundation that speaks to the overall program and drives the vision for growth. It's just my Mother, (age 88) and her office assistant. Without funding, we can't continue to pay either of them or expand. The program is a no-cost volunteer-based program. I want her legacy to live on. We need active fundraising to "buy" her successor through a staff position. A clear targeted mission statement and vision we can promote and speak to will help with this endeavor.

we are currently working on rebranding to include our name. Right now we are in one part of the state with the goal to expand nationally and worldwide.

English Language Learners In-Home Program provides tutoring at no cost to adult individuals who have the desire to learn or improve their English language skills to include workplace communication, computer literacy, GED preparation, and US citizenship study.
