Project details

What we need
  • Setup of professional social media profile(s) consistent with the Organization’s brand messaging in platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram, etc.
  • Training for the Organization’s staff on how to manage social media account(s)
Additional details

When I built the website, I had no training and kind of learned as I went.
What I wanted RTC-TV to be was a blog (only back then I didn't know what a blog was), so I have been putting the things I wanted on my blog, in content boxes. What I'd like you to do, is set up a blog for us in the correct fashion on GoDaddy, transfer the posts from the content boxes I created, then link it to RTC's already established social media pages. DEADLINE: ASAP

What we have in place
  • We currently have started designing a blog using godaddy's template, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Content ready to be transferred or added, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to use the money we would have spent correcting this problem, to take advantage of the offer we were given to go to New York and pitch RTC to 79 of the top media outlets in the US & Canada!

On April 11th, we've been given an opportunity to pitch RTC to top media outlets & press professionals! That publicity would be a major boost in the launch of our campaign. The working blog will have a much more impressive appearance when researchers check us out. Plus getting the blog working properly will make it much easier to make posts and keep the site fresh. And allows our other program links to be seen on the home page! (which the current configuration prevents).

Our mission

Rock the Classroom, (RTC) is a nonprofit that wants to make attending college so popular, it becomes the next big thing! So, we've taken the two things kids love most, Music & Technology and used them to develop a National Public Service Campaign that we believe will motivate an entire generation of at-risk youth to actually want to stay in school and go on to college!

What we do

Every 9 seconds a child drops out of school, 3,030,000 children per year! There are organizations offering excellent programs that could help. But no one had discovered a way to motivate kids into wanting an education, until now.
RTC's productions feature PSA's, short films & music videos that inspire passion for educational attainment in our youth. Through our website we provide online access to college prep & scholarship info, mentoring & dropout prevention & intervention services & resources.
