What we need
  • Review of job descriptions, pay structure, internal value, competitive market data, non-monetary rewards and benefits
  • Recommendations for updating staff compensation and incentive plans
What we have in place
  • We currently have Access to all staff payroll, benefit , and position info, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have the 2018 Bayer non-profit salary, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,836 , allowing us to offer fair wages. Currently, we can only offer all new support staff 24k a year. Saving this money will help us to improve on that.

We are a growing, union based, non-profit that has never had a wage scale in our 52 years of operation. Because of this our more tenure administrative staff have very low salaries. Fairness to them and constrains in our CBA prevents us from offering better salaries when recruiting new admin staff. We are hoping this project can give us a wage scale that will increase all staff and allow us to hire better candidates.

Our mission

NLS strives to meet the civil legal needs of the poor and vulnerable through effective legal representation and education. Our support takes many forms. We educate, we give advice, and we provide representation in court. Our clients all experience a legal in crisis, with their basic needs for safety and security being threatened by domestic violence, eviction and/or unscrupulous creditors. In every case, legal aid advocates quickly address the client's issues and provide compassionate effective intervention. Civil legal aid provided by NLS helps ensure fairness for all in the justice system, regardless of how much money you have.
