Our mission
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles (BGCMLA) was founded in December 2015, as a strategic partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Boys & Girls Clubs of Los Angeles to help steward a cluster of Metro-area Clubs.
Historically, the 27 Boys & Girls Clubs of Los Angeles operated independently, which meant each club tackled their own budgets, managed their own human resources, and created their own internal processes to serve their respective communities as best as possible. However, BGCMLA recognized that a critical first step towards eliminating the gap in access for thousands of youth in Los Angeles was to implement new, innovative operating and governance models for our existing Club organizations.
