Data Collection Plan
Data Collection Plan
Project details
What we need
- A set of key metrics to regularly track
- Spreadsheet tool to collect data on key metrics with accompanying tables and graphs for analysis
- Training for best practices on data collection
- Training on how to use the spreadsheet and analyze key metrics
- Note: This project does not include data entry or analysis
Additional details
The International Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA) is a non profit provider of immigration legal services. With 8 offices in 6 counties of the Bay Area, we are the largest provider of immigration legal services in Northern CA. We need help deciding what metrics are most critical to capture to be able to demonstrate the impact of our services
What we have in place
- We currently have a data base where we can somewhat easily grab data, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a Director of Finance and Administration, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,868 , allowing us to ceelebrate our end of FY year success with a staff party for all who work so hard during the year - It would also allow us to waive our immigration fees for initial legal consultations
IIBA has experienced significant growth over the past 6 years- We have opened 3 new offices, have tripled our budget and increased staffing. It is now time to catch up to our growth and also think more deeply about how we talk about the impact of our work - We have significant data but it is challenging to discern what are the most critical metrics to focus on

Our mission
The Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA) provides high-quality immigration legal services, education, and civic engagement opportunities to immigrants, refugees, and their families as they join and contribute to the community.
What we do
With eight offices throughout the Bay Area that provide immigration legal services and education, as well as through collaborative efforts with local and regional service providers, IIBA helps immigrants, refugees, and their families join and contribute to our community. We offer immigrants the information and assistance they need to understand and exercise their rights and responsibilities. Because of IIBA's services, more immigrant families obtain stable immigration status in the United States.
