What we need
  • An Excel spreadsheet custom-built specifically for the Organization's finances
  • Training on how to use the spreadsheet to understand the current financial situation and predict future states (e.g., plan for budget increases or decreases, hiring, and other key drivers)

I would like someone who can help our small organization plan financially for the future.

What we have in place
  • We currently have past financial data, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a vision of the future, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $14,474 , allowing us to have a targeted financial goal for the future and ways to achieve that goal.

As a small grass-roots nonprofit, we want to be able to sustain our finding and growth for the long term.

  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with current accounting needs and practices, chart of accounts or operating budget, and financial statements currently being generated (e.g,. statement of financial position, statement of activities, or statement of cash flows)
  • Optional: If you are concerned about the sensitive nature of your financial data, have a volunteer sign a non-disclosure agreement

  • Professional analyzes current accounting system, and recommends improvements to data gathering, reporting, or implementation of new bookkeeping software
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback which Professional incorporates

Our mission

Protect Penn-Trafford is a citizen's group working to ensure the safety, security, and quality of life from the effects of unconventional gas development in Penn-Trafford and surrounding communities in Westmoreland and Allegheny Counties.

What we do

We participate in local hearings for new gas development and advocate for protections to our community, we educate our community so they know how to protect themselves and their families, and we mentor other communities so they can accomplish protections for their neighborhoods.
