Project details

What we need
  • A compilation of research on a specific topic (e.g. industry best practices, literature review, media contacts, industry trends, etc.) including a list of sources
  • Recommendations on areas for further exploration/research
  • Note: This project is not designed to be used for prospect or grant research
Additional details

Tickets for Kids (ticketsforkids.org) is a national nonprofit based in Pittsburgh, PA, that distributes donated tickets to low-income and at-risk children through other youth-serving organizations (BBBS, Y programs, etc.). Due to recent expansion, we are in need of a curated list of foundations and corporations in the New York area that would, based on mission alignment, be interested in funding our program activity in New York. We are looking for monetary donations, not tickets.

What we have in place
  • We currently have access to Foundation Directory Online, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a long history of receiving grant support in PA, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,239 , allowing us to direct resources to supporting our mission.

Tickets for Kids recently merged NY-based Seats of Dreams into our organization. With this expansion we have gained new board members (Seats of Dreams founders) with contacts in the New York area, the ability to acquire and distribute more tickets, and new agency partnerships for ticket distribution. Funding to support all of this new activity is critical in helping us to provide more opportunities to more children.
