Project details

What we need
  • A set of key metrics to regularly track
  • Spreadsheet tool to collect data on key metrics with accompanying tables and graphs for analysis
  • Training for best practices on data collection
  • Training on how to use the spreadsheet and analyze key metrics
  • Note: This project does not include data entry or analysis
Additional details

We require an efficient method to collect data, metrics to define what data we should be collecting, and an understanding of why the data is important and how it can be effectively used to better align with our mission, strategic plan, and the goals of our programs and services; to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, and potential funders; and to stay relevant and address community needs. We need a system that is cost-effective and flexible as our programs/reporting needs change.

What we have in place
  • We have a new 3-5 year strategic plan, descriptions/goals for our programs, an initial outline of expected outcomes, and staff who are eager to move forward with measuring our impact.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,868 , allowing us to reinvest the dollars saved back into delivery of our programs or back into general operations. It will save our organization time now spent on ineffective methods of data collection.

Building data collection metrics will enable us to apply for grants to support our programs; report on the output. outcome, and impact of our programs to funders, donors, members, and other vested parties; and evaluate the success of our programs, based on our goals. This project will empower us to develop new programs more effectively and gain more meaningful insight on our overall impact in the community.
