Project details

What we need
  • An assessment of Organization's IT infrastructure including costs, speed, reliability and security
  • Advice on various IT services and the cost-benefit associated with each option
  • Potentially more efficient and secure services
  • Note: This does not include tech systems set up or implementation
Additional details

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY if you are not an expert with Mac/iPhone.

We have an urgent, specific need in addition to the overall review. We are on Macs and iPhones. We need an affordable group-texting solution. Not group chat -- where all replies are seen by the entire group -- group texting, where we can send out a text to a group, and then if any member of the group texts back, only we can see it.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a list of our existing systems, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have staff members knowledgeable about our technology, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,001 , allowing us to fuel our refrigerated truck for 15 months!

Everything we do is dependent on technology. If you help us solve our problem(s), you will be helping get more food to more people in need!

Our mission

ExtraFood.org's mission is to help end hunger and wasted food in Marin County, California, where 1 in 5 people worry about where their next meal will come from.

What we do

Through our county-wide food recovery program, we rescue excess fresh food from any Marin business or school and immediately deliver it to safety net partners -- such as homeless shelters, senior housing centers, and after-school programs -- serving Marin's most vulnerable children, adults, and families. In 5 years we've rescued 2.7 million pounds of food and delivered it to 121 sites across Marin, including 34 new food programs we've started with our partners. We're reaching 8,000+ people every month with healthy, fresh food.
