Additional details
We are a small non-profit holding our annual Champions of Learning awards event on May 2, 2019. We recognize adults in the education field for going above and beyond to create opportunities for youth.
We are in need of someone to create a program for the event that showcases the finalists in each of our 6 categories and also highlight our event sponsors. Program has an agenda, picture and bio for each finalist and logos for sponsors. Either a template or a completed program is needed.
What we have in place
- We currently have pictures, bios and all logos, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have past programs we've used, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to offer tickets to the education community at an actual cost vs. raising the cost to cover additional expenses. It would also allow a greater number of people to attend to honor the finalists.
This annual event is a "friend-raiser" vs "fundraiser" therefore, funding for some print materials is limited. We are a small non-profit organization with a limited staff. We have been working diligently to provide quality programs for the schools within our network. Our goal is to highlight the individuals that go above and beyond to provide opportunity for youth. Providing this program that highlights the finalists in each category will be another way to highlight their effort with youth.
Project plan
Our mission
We work to inspire and support students and educators and connect schools with their communities to help kids imagine, plan and prepare for successful futures.
What we do
At the Consortium, our goal is for every child to graduate from high school with a formal, viable plan for their future. A plan that answers three questions:
Who am I?
Who do I want to be?
How do I get there?
Our programs provide students with opportunities to explore careers and build skills so that they can make choices about their future that fit with their interests, abilities, and goals.
We also work with educators, helping them to develop the knowledge and skills they need to ensure their students are prepared for success in post-secondary education, careers, and life.
The Consortium serves more than 40 school districts across western Pennsylvania through initiatives strategically designed to strengthen and broaden school leadership, engage community and empower students. In all of our work, we relentlessly advocate for excellence and equity in public education for all students.
