What We Need
  • Recommendations on both styles of recruiting (active versus passive) and proper channels to pursue candidates
  • Guidelines for the hiring process, including the order and number of interview rounds, reference checks, and general best practices for an inclusive interview
  • Effective interviewing techniques and clear, consistent standards for evaluating candidates
  • Tips for negotiating details such as compensation package and title

I do have a number of HR projects that might be linked.
Thinking about prioritization possible. We might be the cart before the horse However we really are invested in new talent and exploring how we might grow based on more and more clarity we have about our mission and vision.

  • We currently have job announcements, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have hx of our former practice, and the ability to provide any other information you need.

We are in a major organizational shift. We want to attract great talent. We are also in the midst of redesign and restructuring.

Prep: Information Sharing
  • Volunteer Manager shares current or past job descriptions used, as well as relevant materials such as internal policies and procedures already in place
Milestone 1: Audit of Existing Policies
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss current hiring processes, including how candidates are found, interviewing principles, hiring steps normally taken, and overall hiring philosophy
Milestone 2: Analysis and Recommendations
  • Professional identifies key areas of improvement, and recommends ways to improve current processes
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback to Professional
Milestone 3: Draft Hiring Strategy
  • Professional drafts strategy, which thoughtfully lays out all areas of the recruiting process
  • Strategy should include guidelines and actionable steps to implement recommendations
  • Volunteer Manager provides any feedback, which Professional incorporates into final draft
Milestone 4: Draft Job Descriptions and Recommendations for Hiring Channels
  • Professional drafts up a job description template the Organization can use
  • Professional recommends appropriate hiring channels for the Organization based on budget, and assists in any setup necessary to list job descriptions
