Impact statement
This project will save us $9,186 , allowing us to keep the cost of our missional internships course at $25 USD so thousands of low-income Spanish-speaking students may learn how to make a difference in the world for Christ.

Project Details

What We Need
  • A complete overhaul of a website’s current visual design (including creation of a customized theme for Wordpress if needed)
  • Design direction based on Organization's desired branding and style preferences
  • Mock-ups of key site pages
Additional Details

A UX Designer and a Ruby on Rails programmer to redesign site with mobile responsiveness and internationalize the site with our Spanish translation (insert the "es:" text into the code).

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have a complete Ruby on Rails site, with new test environments, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a volunteer team overseeing integration with Salesforce, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help

We are about to release a renewed and updated site. We need to accomplish two things on the Ruby on Rails site by this summer: 1. Better UX Design & Mobile Responsiveness. 2. Post the Spanish version with internationalization in the Ruby code.

About The Org

Our Mission

YWAM Converge is a ministry of YWAM International, a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced "WHY-wham"), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.

Make a Difference in Your World!

Our Vision: Make a difference in every sphere of influence.

Our Mission: Connect interns to missional organizations.

What We Do

We connect. To accomplish our mission, we connect with passionate people, especially people working with missional organizations in geographical places and influential spaces. And we connect with students who are passionate about more than their career. We connect with students ready to into ALL the world, including EVERY area of influence. (Mt. 28:18-20) As our missional network grows, we will meet as a roundtable with our YWAM CONVERGE managing partners, who lead both regional and vocational teams.

We teach and learn. We are dedicated to the spiritual formation of individuals and the transformation of nations (Mt. 28:18-20). We created Converge internships learning experiences to develop missional leaders for every sphere of influence. We develop curriculum & resources, conduct retreats/short-courses, and broadcast the Converge Stories podcast.

We mobilize. We are dedicated to sending students to serve and learn with missional organizations. And occasionally, we lead teams on special projects or outreaches related to the training we conduct. Since 1989, we have coordinated 75 internships (over 340 students from over 110 universities to over 40 countries) to help start businesses and plant churches, install water pumps, establish therapy routines for disabled, perform research in clinics, develop nutritional plans for hospices, and create curriculum for schools. With Converge platform, we are preparing to match, equip, and send over 300 interns per year.
