Project details

What we need
  • A visual redo of the Organization's website
  • Design direction based on Organization's desired branding and style preferences
  • Mock-ups of key site pages
  • Commitment to 2 phone calls with a developer to guide initial front-end coding work
  • Note: We recommend this project for custom websites. If your site is built on a CMS platform like Wordpress or Squarespace that offers templates, you may not need this project. Check out our Website Content Plan project for help building a CMS-based website
Additional details

A UX Designer and a Ruby on Rails programmer to redesign site with mobile responsiveness and internationalize the site with our Spanish translation (insert the "es:" text into the code).

What we have in place
  • We currently have a complete Ruby on Rails site, with new test environments, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a volunteer team overseeing integration with Salesforce, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $9,186 , allowing us to keep the cost of our missional internships course at $25 USD so thousands of low-income Spanish-speaking students may learn how to make a difference in the world for Christ.

We are about to release a renewed and updated site. We need to accomplish two things on the Ruby on Rails site by this summer: 1. Better UX Design & Mobile Responsiveness. 2. Post the Spanish version with internationalization in the Ruby code.

Our mission

We are a University Ministries Circle of YWAM International with a staff team of certified coordinators on five continents, hundreds of trained YWAM campus ministries staff, host partners, and volunteers.

Vision: To recapture the purpose of the university and proclaim the Gospel in every nation through every vocation.

Mission: To mobilize university students for the next and final wave of Global Missions and to foster student-led missions to and through every sphere of influence.

What we do

We cannot know God's calling until we know our story, especially the parts that hinder us. Jesus is calling us to engage our stories so we can engage our world.

We are developing missions-minded leaders for every sphere of influence. We facilitate opportunities for students to learn how to make a difference. Our target students are from ANYWHERE; they are ready to go into ALL the world, including EVERY area of influence. (Mt. 28:18-20).

Since 1989, we have coordinated internships for hundreds of students from over one hundred universities to nearly 50 countries to help start businesses and plant churches, install water pumps, establish therapy routines for disabled, perform research in clinics, develop nutritional plans for hospices, and create curriculum for schools. With Converge platform, we are preparing to connect, equip, and send over 300 interns per year.

Testimonials

Michael provided help with our CSS. He worked with our Ruby on Rails site. He helped us with some urgent fixes to make the site more mobile responsive. He could not do everything we needed, however he was very willing to learn and help where he could.
