We want to implement a training program for our staff that provides professional development over the course of year.
What we have in place
- We currently have existing training materials, which should make it easy for you to get started.
We also have designated staff to manage this project and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,500 , allowing us to use our resources on other program related activities.
SLATE-Z is in its startup phase and is quickly growing. We interact with various levels of constituents, including elected officials, executives, local businesses, and residents. Our team members often plan and facilitate meetings, make presentations, and attend events and conferences.
To ensure that each of our team members are prepared for their role within SLATE-Z, we want them to complete professional training that will help them put their best foot forward in any setting they're in.

Our mission
SLATE-Z is a collaboration of 55 cross-sector partners with a common mission to revitalize South Los Angeles by moving residents to economic opportunity.
What we do
Our work focuses on five overarching goals: (1) Move 10,000 residents into living wage jobs; (2) Increase economic activity by investing in businesses, entrepreneurs, and community-oriented infrastructure; (3) Increase student attainment of certificates, degrees, and preparation for living wage careers by guaranteeing post-secondary career pathway enrollment and support; (4) Reduce violent crime through effective prevention, intervention, re-entry and community engagement; (5) Improve community infrastructure by increasing the safety, affordability, and use of public transit.
