Project details

What we need
  • Feedback on the current website’s layout, user functionality, mobile-friendliness, visual design, content, and other key features
  • Clear articulation of the Organization’s goals for the website
  • Recommendations for improvements to help achieve the Organization’s desired goals
  • Note: If you are looking for a more specific, in-depth audit of your website's design and usability, try our Website Usability Audit project
Additional details

We are beginning the process to hire a web developer to create a new website, and want to make sure we invest time in the planning stage to examine our needs as well as assess our current website. We would benefit from expertise as well as an outside perspective at this stage of the project.

What we have in place
  • We currently have Google analytic reports. Audience segmentation and goals, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have two Director level staff members dedicated to the project., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,762 , allowing us to invest in website design and development including copywriting to improve our program experience and help us tell our impact story.

1) improved program UI and architecture; 2) an engaging presentation of online program tools; 3) virtual tools to empower youth health advocate leadership, and 4) a resource portal to support statewide initiatives. These improvements will help school and center leaders engage in order to support the types of sustainable change in their settings that have a positive impact on children's health. The website will improve communication to donors and volunteers to ensure sustainable funding.

Our mission

Vision: All Children Nourished and Active.

MIssion: Empowering healthy habits and transforming environments where children live, learn and play.

Inspired by the knowledge that improving a child's health can impact their entire future, we are dedicated to helping children and families establish healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

What we do

HealthMPowers promotes healthy habits to build a better future for children. By integrating nutrition education and physical activity into schools, childcare centers, and after-school programs, we create a culture that supports lifelong healthy lifestyle choices for children, families and communities. HealthMPowers is a national leader in children's health, with a proven, 19-year track record of improving health knowledge and behaviors among children.
By implementing evidence-based guidelines for health and fitness established by the CDC, HealthMPowers helps children make measurable improvements in their health, such as a reduction in BMI and an improvement in physical fitness. HealthMPowers partners with nearly 500 schools, childcare centers, and afterschool programs throughout Georgia to teach children how to make healthy eating and exercise a regular part of their everyday lives. Last year, we served nearly 195,000 students across over fifty different counties. We focus our work in underserved, low-income communities, where we feel we can have the greatest impact, providing trainings and resource materials to empower children and those who care for them to make healthy life choices.
