What we need
  • An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
  • A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format

We are an environmental organization based out of Santa Cruz, CA. We need someone with skills in creating infographics to communicate our strategic progress for three different programs.

What we have in place
  • We currently have statistics about three programs that we would like to be communicated in simple and eye-catching infographics. These are our three programs: 1) Our Education Program 2) Our Volunteer Program 3) Our Youth Engagement Program
How this will help
This project will save us $4,817 , allowing us to allocate that money toward our Watershed Ranger Education Program.

We need to be able to communicate our strategic progress with our programs to the general public in a simplistic way.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the infographic, key audiences, and style preferences (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of infographics they like with the Professional
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with data or other source of information to draw from

Milestone 1: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional develops three drafted concepts to share with the Organization
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary concept and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Graphic Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of Infographic
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to two rounds feedback

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers the final version of the Infographic including specifications for usage (colors, size, etc.)

Our mission

The mission of the Coastal Watershed Council is to protect and preserve coastal watersheds through community stewardship, education and monitoring.

What we do

The San Lorenzo River runs right through downtown Santa Cruz, but the community isn't really drawn to this river. CWC is improving water quality and habitat and hosting family and youth-friendly events to improve public safety and environmental conditions, transforming this park into a cultural and natural asset that Santa Cruz is drawn to and proud of.
