Data & Analytics Call

Call details

What we'd like to talk about

We use Salesforce. We are doing an overhaul of our Salesforce Architecture. We are implementing a plan now, but seek expert advice to clarify if we're headed in the right direction.

Additional context

We have many objects we're restructuring The critical ones are
- Campaigns (which we use to track efforts - classes events resident meetings programs grants etc )
- Goals (a custom object we use to track our goals for grants funders and internal (agency-wide) workplans / goals for the year)
- Compliances Achieved (a custom object that connects one campaign with one goal to allow multiple campaigns to be connected to one or more goals)
We are currently working on automating goal reporting such that users do not have to manually enter numbers of "case successes" (students completing a class participants at an event etc ) in the Goal object but rather the Goal object will pull the appropriate numbers from the Campaign object based on what's there and based on the criteria / mapping (a Monetary goal connects to the monetary field a tree goal connects to the goal field etc ) We are working on designing this system We are seeking expert advice for someone who has built such a system before to implement best practices. If not done before looking to share our approach and seek feedback as to additional things to consider.

"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.
