What we need
  • Well-written and compelling copy for marketing or communication materials; examples include a brochure, blog post, one-pager/fact sheet, fundraising/promotional materials
  • Messaging that is consistent with brand identity, public relations strategy and communications objectives

1-2 page Letter of Intent to prospective funders/foundations that describes our organization, our successes, and the program that we'd like funding for.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a proven track record and great stories, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a list of propsective foundations and their LOI requirements, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to deliver more legal service to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people!

We've found that the grant application process for the majority of the foundations we're targeting begins with a one to two page Letter of Intent. Having a general LOI (or one that can be edited minimally to meet specific requirements depending on the foundation) will be an important first step in increasing our funding from foundations as it will make it much easier to make that first contact.
