Facilitated Strategy Session
Facilitated Strategy Session
Project details
What we need
- Expert third party advice on process or managerial changes, geographic or programmatic expansion, potential pivots, or general strategic planning
- Facilitation of an intensive, one-day strategic planning session with staff and/or Board
- Note: If necessary, a follow-up strategic planning session may be scheduled
What we have in place
- We currently have a framework of our new vision, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have documentation and materials, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,465 , allowing us to provide additional field trips for our high school students such as live performances, musicals and nature excursions.
This project will help take our organization to the next level for many years to come as our new identity as a youth development organization instead of just a scholarship organization.
Project plan
Our mission
San Francisco Achievers is a community-based non-profit organization providing college scholarships and mentoring services to African-American male high school students in the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). The mission of San Francisco Achievers is to reduce the achievement gap of African American young men in San Francisco high schools through support, mentoring, and college scholarships.
What we do
San Francisco Achievers provides a holistic approach to serving the needs of young Black male students in San Francisco. We offer programs to support students and help them gain the skills needed to compete in today's competitive academic and social environments.
Testimonials
Elena was wonderful and very knowledgeable on ways to adapt our information to activities that will make our retreat truly impactful!
Working with Duane at SF Achievers really stretched my facilitation skills and I'm all the more excited for the outcome! This was the first time developing a facilitated session where I was not the intended facilitator. Thus, I had to approach this work with deeper empathy and listening to best understand how to serve a facilitated agenda for a team I've never met for their staff retreat. Super thankful for Duane's clear vision, his push-back on ideas that he felt may not necessarily serve his team best, and generative conversations that helped make this process truly collaborative.
