Annual Report Writing
Annual Report Writing
Project details
What we need
- Clear and effective copy for an annual report that illustrates the Organization’s successes and plans for growth (e.g., descriptions of programs, allocation of funds, and recognition of donors and volunteers)
- Blueprint of the structure for the annual report, including optimal content, length, and style
Additional details
Our 17/18 impact report will be the first of its kind for us. In early '18, we started the inspiring and story-rich impact & financial report to document our progress. While the scope & style of the report was determined, it was not completed. We would like advice & guidance on finalizing elements so they align with our objectives (partner, hire, support) and determining how to combine 2 years in one report. We would also like help with updated copy that is compelling and authentic.
What we have in place
- We currently have an unfinished, but designed, report for 17 with strong scope, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a creative agency to help with design and layout, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $9,148 , allowing us to use these funds to provide opportunity to a young adult or military veteran. The core of our mission is the Tech Fundamentals program which costs $7,500 per student.
The growth and development of NPower from 2017 to today is significant and worthy of an impactful annual report. In fact, it is the significant growth that kept us from completing the report in early 2018. This report will serve as a definitive resource to start and maintain NPower conversations with funders, partners, media, program alumni and staff. Our annual impact report is conspicuous in its absence when compared to our report-heavy "cooperators" (Year Up, Per Scholas, Genesys Works).
Project plan
Our mission
NPower creates pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities.
What we do
With a strategic plan in place for 2023, NPower develops a pipeline of diverse technology talent to fill this encroaching gap in the U.S. professional workforce by providing IT training and certification classes. Veterans and under-served young adults apply for this FREE program and those who qualify enter a class to learn in-demand skills such as technology support, cybersecurity, cloud computing, coding or network administration. A majority of programs include a vital paid internship component which hones the students professional skills while opening the door to potential full-time employment and networking opportunities. Upon graduation from the program, NPower assists students in landing an industry position and launching a stable, well-compensated career.
Testimonials
(No testimonial has been submitted by Katharine)
Working with NPower was a joy. Katharine, the coordinator for this project, did an amazing job on this project and was a fantastic collaborator at every stage. NPower is doing some really great work in helping people launch their careers in the tech sector and I feel privileged to have been able to help them in some small way. I loved working with their project coordinator on this project and would recommend the organization to any potential volunteers.
