Project details

What we need
  • Consultation regarding the Organization's current branding and desired branding objectives
  • Visual branding guidelines / style guide that include specific colors, fonts, and other graphic design elements to use in print and digital communications materials
  • High-resolution logo delivered electronically (in formats for digital and print use)
What we have in place
  • We have a good strategic backbone in place, with definition around vision, the landscape, personas, and brand personality. What we don't yet have is a creative visionary to bring this thinking to life through a logo and visual identity system. We stand ready to share this thinking to give framing and context to your creative work. And of course, we will always be available via email or a call to answer any questions along the way.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,817 , allowing us to distribute over 45 productive assets to increase income for over 225 people. As well as, help us to expand our operations throughout East Africa.

Bicycles Against Poverty started as a lease to own bicycle company in northern Uganda. We have distributed over 3,000 bicycles to impact over 15,000 Ugandans. As we have grown, so has our mission. Our impact goes well beyond bicycles, as we have introduced several other productive assets into our portfolio. We are rebranding to Cycle Connect to reflect these changes. We have big goals and we need a strong brand that can help us go the distance to achieve next level impact.

Our mission

Our mission is to increase income for smallholder farmers in East Africa through productive asset-financing and trainings.

What we do

Bicycles Against Poverty is a social enterprise which provides asset financing loans to rural smallholder farmers in Northern Uganda. With our first product, a lease to own bicycle, our farmer customers tripled market attendance and increased income by over 35%. They can carry five times as much and go four times as far. We've already distributed around 2,500 loans, and are at a catalytic moment as we increase our portfolio with other products in the agricultural value chain.

BAP is committed to the principle that farmers deserve the opportunity to invest in tools that will propel them forward. That's why our goal by the end of 2021 is to reach 10,000 more Ugandan farmers and introduce three new farmer finance products into our portfolio.

Testimonials

Lydia was amazing and very professional to work with. Lydia worked with our team to curate a visual identity system for the launch of our rebrand. She provided us with a logo and color scheme for our new brand. It has been such a pleasure to work with her on such a big project for our organization.
