Project details

What we need
  • Feedback on the current website’s layout, user functionality, mobile-friendliness, visual design, content, and other key features
  • Clear articulation of the Organization’s goals for the website
  • Recommendations for improvements to help achieve the Organization’s desired goals
  • Note: If you are looking for a more specific, in-depth audit of your website's design and usability, try our Website Usability Audit project
Additional details

I know our website needs a fresh look, and I'd also like it to be user friendly on mobile devices, but I don't know where to start. I need someone to tell me what we need to do to make it better.

What we have in place
  • We currently have an existing website, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a parish administrator who is ready to help, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,762 , allowing us to keep it in the budget where we need it to pay our staff and keep the lights on!

Our website is currently designed more for our current members than to attract new members. We need help highlighting what a warm, vibrant parish we have, as well as making it more appealing and easier to navigate on mobile devices.

Our mission

St. Peter's parish is a growing, vibrant Christian community. Its members are serious about their faith, seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and dedicated to sharing God's Word. We have high ambitions for St. Peter's outreach to the community. Our members value being fed spiritually at the Eucharist and are gladdened by the opportunity to come to the altar for prayers of healing. We value the friendliness and mutual support of each other. We value the opportunities for education for adults and children on Sunday mornings, at other times during the week.

Testimonials

I am not sure that 500 words is not enough to say how amazing Thomas is! He is knowledgeable, professional, witty, helpful and assuring. Step-by-step, he walked my colleague and I through the entire process of creating a brand new website for my church, when neither of us knew anything about website development or management. Our website is now current, easy to navigate, helpful and attractive! From choosing a template, to installing it, to building the content, to everything else that goes into a website, he was there to guide us and advise us. When we had a question or a problem, all we had to do was email him, and we'd get a response usually within 24 hours with the answer or with an email saying he had fixed whatever it was that went wrong. There were times that we didn't even know the question we needed to ask, but he somehow figured out the answer. Additionally, he helped us to migrate our church's email system to Gmail, which was certainly not part of the original project. He spent countless hours working with us via Zoom and then on his own to get our email and website migrated over to the new system, sometimes working overnight so that it did not disrupt our daytime operations. We are completely in awe of his skills and the time he devoted to our project. I cannot recommend him more highly.
