Project details

What we need
  • A workshop that teaches users how to write and troubleshoot a script connecting multiple Google products
  • One functional prototype of an Apps Script, such as mail merge, form automation, etc. by the end of the workshop
  • Resources for learning further about the topic as well as existing ready-to-use scripts built by other developers
Additional details

We currently have spreadsheets tracking our building inspection process; we would like to add in a field that automatically looks up building addresses and updates the sheet with the US Representative, State Senator, Assembly Person, and City Council Member.

We would like to see if there's a way to query Google API (https://developers.google.com/civic-information/) and auto-populate fields in the sheet with the names of elected representatives.

What we have in place
  • We currently have an existing spreadsheet that we would like to add fields to, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an idea for the source of data, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,752 , allowing us to allowing us to reinvest in our workforce training programs and provide more opportunities for our students to thrive.

This project will allow us to better connect with elected representatives, an important aspect of outreach for our climate change mitigation and workforce development efforts.

Testimonials

Mariya did a fantastic job of creating a tool that will save us time and clearly walking us through what we needed to know to set it up. She also provided step-by-step documentation that we will be able to use with other team members as well. Thank you for all your help Mariya!
