Additional details
Emily's Entourage is looking for a full-time, full service special events professional to lead the planning, development, production and evaluation of major fundraising events for the organization and ensure that goals are met within required timeframes and established budgets. The Special Events Manager will work in collaboration with Emily's Entourage Co-Founders, staff, and volunteers to ensure high quality, successful events that support the organization's strategic initiatives.
What we have in place
- We currently have a job description, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have intimate knowledge of the role, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,765 , allowing us to invest that money in research grants for nonsense mutations of Cystic Fibrosis, which is our core mission.
We host 2 major galas and major donor parlor parties throughout the year that serve as the centerpiece of our fundraising events. Together, these bring in over $800/year. We are looking for a full time professional to lead the planning and execution of these events. We feel it's critical to have someone internal driving growth of these events for the foundation and thinking about donor cultivation and stewardship rather than hiring outside consultants to plan them on a case by case basis.
Project plan

By providing critical leadership and coordination, Emily's Entourage drives high-impact research, cultivates multi-stakeholder collaboration, and facilitates information exchange to speed breakthroughs. What we do
Emily's Entourage is an innovative 501(c)3 foundation that accelerates research for new treatments and a cure for nonsense mutations of Cystic Fibrosis, a fatal genetic disease afflicting Emily and many others. Named a Champion of Change for President Obama's Precision Medicine Initiative, Emily's Entourage has awarded over $3.4 million in research grants since 2011 and led worldwide efforts to drive high-impact research and drug development.
